Oval bottles are available in many different styles including – Drug, Flat, Tall, and Tapered. They are commonly manufactured in HDPE, LDPE, PET, and PVC resins. They can also be manufactured in lighter gram weights or with a combination of HDPE and PCR resins to meet one of the compliance options for the California Rigid Plastic Packaging Container (RPPC) Program.
To qualify as oval packaging, the base of the container must be oval while the body can be any shape. Oval bottles are available in a wide variety of capacities, feature multiple neck finish options, and carton pack configurations. Standard colors include Natural, White, and Clear but Custom Colors are also available.
The majority of resins used for manufacturing Oval bottles meet FDA requirements for food contact. The oval bottle can be enhanced through the use of decoration, labels, and surface treatments. Various closure options for Oval bottles include CT, CRC, Dispensing, and Tamper Evident styles (please click on link to Caps/Closures under Enhancements below).
